Barbell Basics 1-Day Workshop

Barbell Basics is a one-day Saturday workshop covering the foundational lifts used in CrossFit in a single focused session. In 2.5 hours, participants will work through squats, pulls, presses and Olympic lift foundations at light loads, with an emphasis on understanding each movement, building comfort under the bar and developing proper technique. The goal is to establish a strong foundation — one that makes adding weight over time safer and more effective. We will cover proper setup, bar path, bracing, spotting considerations and safe ways to miss lifts. Following the class, athletes are welcome to stay for a 30-minute open gym with coaches on hand to continue working on any lift from the session. This course is ideal for newer athletes and experienced athletes who want to refine technique, train more safely and better understand how and why movements are scaled. Space is limited to allow for individualized coaching and hands-on learning.
